If you can't read your messages, it is generally because you have software installed on your computer which is designed to kill popup windows. You must deactivate this kind of software while using bearwww.com. Sometimes it can also be because of settings in your firewall.
You must go in "Manage my profile" and select "Update my profile"
The profile of a member can contain additional pictures defined as "private". These pictures are viewable only by members to whom you have given explicit authorization. If you have some private pictures in your profile and wish to allow another member to view, you must open the page of his profile to give him access. If you would like to see private pictures of an other member, you must ask his permission. Simply send him an instant polite message.
You have the ability to indicate to us that some of your additional pictures are "soft", i.e. that they contain no nudity or pornography. Only soft pictures can be shown on the smartphones applications in order to fully comply with the rules of the Apple and Google Play Store. By indicating to us which of your profile pictures are soft, you will be permitting their display on all platforms, smartphones applications and internet browsers. (Photos which you have defined as "soft" but contain nudity or pornography will be removed from your profile!)
To delete your profile, select 'Update my profile', and check the 'delete your profile' box on the first line. Click on the 'Validate' button at the bottom of the page, and your profile will be deleted.
You can't change your nickname on bearwww.com. If you absolutely need to change it, you need to start over. You have to delete your old profile and create a new one. By deleting your profile you will lose your contact list and you will be automatically deleted from all profiles having you on their contact list.
History is not preserved indefinitely. The messages are preserved one week (100 maxi) but you can also see the last exchanges with someone you have not sent any message recently.
No, it works on almost all modern browsers.
If you have problems with Internet Explorer, consider using FireFox
FireFox is currently the best browser. There are versions for Windows, Mac OS X and GNU/Linux, and is free. The current version is 21
Did you send a picture of 'yourself' as the main pic? To be validated, you must be a bear, or you must like bears. At the very least, you must have a bear attitude. You must be (and look) more than 21years old. Is your main pic size big enough? Does it show enough of you in it? Just showing a glimpse, or a shirt, as a main pic means it won't be validated.
You can retrieve a lost password by clicking on the link 'I lost my password' in the home page under the login form. The password will be sent to the email you used when you registered. If you no longer have access to this email address, or if you entered the wrong address, there is no way to get your password.
If you can't delete your contacts, it could be because you have software which is designed to kill popup windows, or a block set in your firewall. Try pressing the key 'CTRL' while you click on 'OK'.
If you have just modified your main picture, you must wait for the webmaster validate it before it can be seen. Even then, your browser may retrieve the old version from cache memory. Some browsers allow you to clear cache memory, which forces the picture to be downloaded again.
